The 2016 Subaru Share the Love Event: Experiencing Meals For The Elderly in a Subaru

This month we’ve let our Subaru-loving board member Jessica Balliew experience the full effect of all the ways volunteers and their vehicles keep the “wheels” of Meals For The Elderly turning!

It’s been a fun journey to take, seeing all the ways your wheels keep our program in motion.

From food drives and special events to meal delivery and Christmas presents, we’ve put the Subaru to work and were reminded just how much we rely on our amazing volunteers AND their vehicles to keep our program strong!

The reason for the fun is simple: Subaru of America is giving us a chance to earn money to feed local homebound seniors by spreading the word about their current Share The Love Event.

Through January 3, 2017, for every new Subaru vehicle leased or sold, Subaru will donate $250 to the customer’s choice of participating charities. Meals on Wheels America is one of four national participating charities. As a Member of Meals on Wheels America, Meals For The Elderly will receive a share of the revenue earned in Texas, so if you choose Meals On Wheels at any dealership in Texas, we will be getting a portion of that donation.

Subaru and its retailers support Meals on Wheels because it’s part of their commitment—to leaving the world a better place than they found it through the core values of trust and love.

Thank you for all you  and your car do for homebound seniors here in San Angelo and Tom Green County.
